The Student Parliament (StuPa) is the highest legislative organ of the student body.
The StuPa elects the board of the General Student Committee (AStA) and has the
oversight over the AStA. The StuPa sets the administrative and financial framework
for the entire student body and AStA, including the otherwise independent Faculty
Student Councils (Fachschaftsrat – FSR). The AStA focuses on the daily matters of
the student body and is the face of the student government outside of the university,
while the StuPa is responsible for making decisions relating to the most paramount
and crucial matters of the entire student body. The Student Parliament is elected
once a year by all students together with the elections to the Faculty Student
StuPa continuously maintains several permanent committees: election, budget,
bylaw, and social committee. The Student Parliament is represented by its
Presidency, which also coordinates and organizes the tasks of StuPa.
During the lecture period, the Student Parliament (StuPa) holds public meetings at
least once a month. All students have access to the Moodle-Course containing
Meeting Dates, Agendas and Minutes of the Meetings
